Sean Hulet is a suburban Chicago native who took up guitar as a rock-loving teenager back in the day. Upon enrolling at UIC, music took a back seat to studies, girlfriends, and beer. Originally playing only guitar in cover bands with his uncles and friends, Sean started writing and eventually singing as well. In the mid-90's, Sean formed Moreno, enjoying some local success, opening for national acts like J. Mascis and The Fog, Unsane, Hum, and The Poster Children, before breaking up late last year. He also had a short stint playing bass for Warner Bros recording act Chevelle.
